Purp

I LOVE this color!! I'm wearing OPI Planks A Lot from the Pirates collection. It is beautiful! It's a muted dark lavender cream polish.
I filed my nails shorter than usual but I think it goes pretty well with this deep purple color.

I messed up my index finger washing dishes =(

Braziliant

This week I'm wearing Essie Braziliant on my nails. I'm in the mood for summer and warmer weather!

This shade is part of Essie's newest spring line. Ulta didn't carry it yet the last time I checked. I found them at Walgreens which is odd because it's technically summer already isn't it? =P

It is so pretty it's a tangerine orange with red tones and pink/gold shimmer which you don't notice unless you stare real hard at the bottle. It is pretty reflective in real life.

I gotta say, this is a pretty bold color. It is more red in real life. It's pretty, and would be a nice addition to any collection. But I think it might look better on my toes than fingers.

Greens

It seems like green and yellow polishes are super trendy this season. I've really been digging green on my nails. Never did I think I would ever wear green but OPI Pirates Of The Carribean Stranger Tides totally changed my mind! And now I'm loving Mermaid's Tears as well!

I found the last addition to my now complete OPI Pirates collection. It was $8.00 at my hair salon, as opposed to $8.50 ;). I love finding surprising little deals!

I don't know how to describe this color. It's kinda an aqua, dark sea foam, jade-like.... It is a creamy gorgeous green! I'm currently wearing it with my jade bracelet and it goes pretty well together! It looks darker/more jade like in person.

I have yet to try most of the polishes in this collection and I keep buying more polishes. It's hard to share my attention =P

Now I'm lemming Essie Mint Candy Apple, and Absolutely Shore.

Lilac

This week I have Essie Lilacism on my nails, part of the spring collection. It is much lighter than OPI's Do you Liliac It? and way more pastel. This is probably one of my favorite Essie colors thus far.

Application was pretty smooth, a lot smoother than their nude colors for me. Two thick coats was enough, but three coats would have been perfect. Sadly, I've already noticed some chipping and it's only been 2 days! But I'm really digging this shade!

It makes me regret not buying the limited edition Neiman Marcus lilac Balenciaga First that is part of their designer sale. Rumor has it it's around $835-$865

Grand Slam

Today I have a OPI Serena Williams Grand Slam set on my nails, Rally Pretty Pink and Red Shatter. I use to hate glitter polishes but ever since black shatter came about, I've started to buy more and more!

Rally Pretty Pink is muave with a ton of gold sparkly glitter. It usually looks gold, very dimensional though. Red Shatter is of course.. red shatter. You might not be able to see it in the photos, but the red shatter is jelly-like. You can kinda see the sparkles from the base polish shine through.

Did you watch the I aM Me "Ill Emental" performance on America's Best Dance Crew? This nail polish combo reminds me of the jacket Olivia "Chachi" wore for her "I Am Fire".

I really like this set! I have to admit, I didn't like it until I saw other blog photos. I didn't think red shatter would look that impressive. I want to get my hands on Simply Smashing to try it under Black Shatter now!

I've recently started a LUSH obsession. Where have I been? I've tried their soaps but never anything else! So far I'm loving their Breath of Fresh Air toner, and Gorgeous moisturizer.

I'm slowly trying to move towards more and more natural products. I thought using Argan Oil (Moroccan Oil) was a good move, but ever since a LUSH associate told me it's endangered I've been second guessing my decision. They have so many products I want to try; fresh face masks, big shampoo, dream cream moisturizer =)

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Pirates > Ninjas

I've managed to find all the polish colors from the OPI Pirates of the Carribean collection minus Mermaid's Tears. It seems to be the most popular one.

I've only tried Stranger Tides thus far and I love it! This has got to be one of my favorite OPI collections!

Skull & Glossbones / Stranger Tides / Steady As She Rose / Sparrow Me the Drama/ Planks a Lot / Silver Shatter

Check out how close shade-wise Do You Lilac It? and Planks a Lot are. Upon first glance, they look nearly identical. But if you look closely you can notice a difference.

Guess which one is which!

Planks a Lot on the left and Do You Liliac It? on the right. Planks a Lot is darker, more of a grape purple. I wonder how different they would appear on nails.

Stranger Danger

Today I'm wearing OPI Pirates of the Carribean Stranger Tides. It's a pastel murky green color and probably one of the most unique colors I've discovered from OPI. It almost looks like a chic grey from afar. I imagine it as one of the colors Nordstrom catalog models would wear.

I think it would look better against my skintone if I were paler. But it's definitely a color I'd recommend because it is so different from anything else. If you like greys, try this!

But I did find this was harder to apply than my other OPIs. Even with two layers, I found I didn't have complete coverage. I'd recommend 3 thin layers before adding a top coat.

I can't wait to try out the others! I still have to find Mermaid Tears, Sparrow Me The Drama, and possibly Planks A Lot.
